Peri

Peri is one of the three starting characters. Peri's cards are pink.

Peri's description reads, "Your weapons officer. Her cards are mostly attacks and instant movement."

Her cards and artifacts mainly deal with damage, damage boosting and fixed movement, her cards are likely to have Retain and Flippable when upgraded.

Peri can make great use of the Ares and Gemini's multiple cannons to line up shots with ease or use her fixed movement cards to her advantage.

Raw Damage:

While not a unique gameplay mechanic for her deck, Peri's deck contains cards that do big damage or attack multiple times, quickly burning through enemy shields and health bars.

Fixed Movement:

Peri's movement cards force the ship to move in a direction upon use, this movement cannot be stored like Evade can.

Overdrive:

Some of Peri's cards and artifacts deal with Overdrive, a player buff that increases all cannon damage by 1, Overdrive slowly expires turn by turn, having a large amount of it will allow the player to deal massive amounts of damage as it slowly decays, it affects every shot individually, cards that hit multiple times benefit from it, also effects that force the ship to shoot such as Payback or Strafe benefit from it.

Powerdrive:

A permanent version of Overdrive, it functions the exact same without the decay.

Unique Mechanics:

Table Flip: It allows any card with instant directional movement to be reversed, granting extra flexibility to cards such as Lunge or Scoot, it also works on non Peri cards like Parallel Shift or Lazy Barrage.

Flux: Grants temporary shields after shooting, goes well with 0 cost shots and cards that can shoot multiple times.

Inverter: While Peri herself can't gain shields, she can turn the shields other characters generate into damage boosting Overdrive.

Endless Magazine: Granting the player a free damage card every turn, even if the shot misses it goes very well with Grazer Beam, Recalibrator and any amount of Overdrive or Powerdrive.

Artifacts

Dakka Drum:

It rewards playing several Peri cards in quick succession, it goes well with Endless Magazine as Chip Shots also count towards the Dakka Drum counter and itself as its own cards also count towards its counter.

Revenge Drive:

While taking hull damage is generally a negative, Peri can turn it around and deal with the enemy even faster, also she's one of the few characters that has a card that allows her to repair mid combat.

Premeditation:

It grants a free Glissade card, it's the closest thing to flexible movement she can get, a nice addition when playing without Riggs.

Power Diversion:

A difficult to use energy artifact, it makes all other crew member's attack cards weaker, you can bypass this effect by using damage sources that aren't attacks, such as Corrosion, Drones or Mines, or attacks that aren't directly part of a card like Payback or Strafe, or just having Overdrive or Powerdrive to boost their damage back to more acceptable levels.

Berserker Drive:

A risk/reward boss artifact, both sides' attacks are increased, ending battles fast is on the player's best interest.
