Parry is a rare Peri card.

Strategy

Parry is a strong finisher of a card, though how good it is depends both on when you draw it and what fight you draw it in. It's mediocre in several fights. Against The Humble Approach, it does 4-6 damage. Against Needler and Spike Jr, it deals 2 damage. But against Rogue Starnacle, it can be 11 damage on the right turn. The good news is that it's a great card in pretty much all boss fights. Against Crystalline Entity, it deals 4 + the number of turns that have passed. Against The Dreadnought, it deals 7 damage. Against The Cobalt, it does 12-13 damage. And if you have Berserker Drive, it gains quite a bit of power - not only from your Powerdrive, but even more so from your enemy's! Max's Enrage also has great synergy with this card. Overall, this card solves several important fights, which should make up for it being deadweight in others. (And it's very good if you find yourself in a fight you shouldn't have started.)

Its A upgrade makes it not Exhaust, a boon for the fights where it's good, allowing you to keep using it over and over.

Its B upgrade gives it Retain, making it better for fights where its value depends a lot on when you use it, such as Rogue Starnacle. It isn't as useful against bosses, however, as their damage doesn't vary as much.
