Rev the Engines B
Costs 1 energy. When played:
- 1. Gain 1 Hermes Boots.
- 2. Draw 2 cards.
Retains. Exhausts when played.
Strategy
Rev the Engines can function as Evade, allowing Peri's shifting cards, Evade, and other evasive resources to go further. Since it Retains, it can often be held for a situation where it can function as 2 or more Evade. It does need to line up with those resources as well as a turn where a lot of movement is needed, so it's often good to have at least some Evade to go with this card. It also works quite well in a high-Evade build that's aiming to dodge everything, such as with Riggs or in the Tiderunner.
The A upgrade adds 1 more Hermes Boots, which is usually overkill but perhaps can get you off to a head start if you're looking for a setup to kite the Crystalline Entity or Cobalt Core indefinitely.
The B upgrade lets you draw 2 cards, which is quite nice for an upgrade, making it draw-positive rather than negative though the fact that it Exhausts dampens this a bit.
