Strategy

Lazy Barrage is a very... interesting take on Barrage, making the enemy move instead of you but generally accomplishing the same thing, though note that it essentially moves you 2 spaces to the left instead of right. Like Barrage, it's a good mix of offense and defense, and it's one of Max's few offensive options. As with any multi-attack, it goes well with Overdrive or Powerdrive.

Lazy Barrage can be quite interesting with multiple cannons and Jupiter Drones, so if you have those you should be ready to do some math in your head to figure out where the enemy is actually going to end up and how many times you'll hit! Remember that cannons fire from left to right before Jupiter Drones, who also fire left to right, and that prior shots will affect the position of the enemy ship! Grazer Beam is quite helpful in this context to maximize your damage.

Its A upgrade adds a shot and a shift, increasing both its offense and defense.

Its B upgrade moves you 2 to the left first, which can maximize its potential to get you out of the enemy ship, but it also makes it quite hard to use - if you want all your shots to connect, you generally want to hit the right side of the enemy ship with your first shot, and shifting left doesn't tend to achieve this.
