Strategy

Enrage plays a dangerous game with your opponent, cancelling their intents this turn but making all future turns more deadly. You'll need a way to make the Powerdrive your opponent gets less meaningful. This can be done either with a hyper-offensive build or a hyper-evasive build. Your Shield will frequently be overwhelmed once you've done this.

This can play nicely with decks that aim for an infinite combo with Max's Exhaust synergies, as it buys you time and gets itself out of the way. And once you're infinite, it doesn't matter that the enemy's threatening to kill you. If you can apply Safety Lock to it, you can perhaps reach a state where you can just play it every turn. In fact, with the B upgrade and Safety Lock it's possible to use it as the Energy source for an infinite - see Guide to Infinite Loops for more.

Its A upgrade makes it 0 cost, giving you 1 more Energy to take advantage of your free turn more fully.

Its B upgrade is more committal, letting you gain even more Energy and a card draw, but also increases the Powerdrive penalty. If you want Enrage in your deck, you probably want this upgrade too.
