Rusting Colossus
The Rusting Colossus rusts itself down over time. But it's looking to take you down with it with powerful, spread out attacks. It is one of two possible Elite encounters in Void's Cradle.
Strategy
Rusting Colossus is an endurance test - while it has a lot of health, the Corrosion it starts with and continuously inflicts on itself will often do most of the damage. So your primary focus should be on staying alive during its powerful attacks. It will generally line all its cannons on you every turn, so this can be difficult.
Evade is excellent in this fight and you should prioritize gaining it. It should be used defensively rather than offensively. Midrow Objects and stun effects can also be very useful in stalling out this fight, and Shield can help you save a little Evade here and there. (But all but the best pure Shield builds can be overwhelmed by this ship's offensive output.) Offensive strategies can struggle mightily in this fight, however, due to this ship's massive hull and multiple Armored points, so make sure you have some defense available for this ship if you're fighting Elites in Void's Cradle. Perhaps Ephemeral Dodge can be saved for this fight in particular.
