Midrow Objects

Some rows have midrow objects between the player and the enemy ship.

All such objects can be destroyed by any attack from either the player or enemy ship, regardless of damage (even 0 damage attacks). These objects can exist when the fight starts or can be launched by either the player or the enemy ship. Sometimes these objects can be launched with a BubbleShield.png Bubble Shield that protects it from the first attack that hits it, or given said Bubble Shield by cards in mid-air. If a midrow object is launched into another midrow object, both the existing and launched objects are damaged - if one had a Bubble Shield but not the other, the one with the Bubble Shield will survive but without their Bubble Shield, and if both had Bubble Shields, both are fully destroyed. Piercing attacks destroy midrow objects in one hit, even if the midrow object had a Bubble Shield. (They do not pass through the midrow object, however.)

Cards that launch midrow objects launch them from your ship's Missile Bay, or perhaps some number of lanes offset from that. Enemies launch midrow objects from whatever part has that intent.

The player can move all midrow objects, regardless of who launched them, to the left or right with the DroneShift.png Drone Shift status given by mostly Isaac cards.

Drone Turn

Drones and missiles act during the Drone Turn, which is after the player's turn is over but before the enemy's turn. Drones and missiles both face either the player or the enemy (typically, in whichever direction benefits its deployer). All drones and missles perform their action from left to right, and perform their action in their lane (with the exception of the Seeker Missile), in the direction that they are facing. Note that since missiles sacrifice themselves during this phase, they cannot be used to block enemy shots, regardless of who launched them. (The user interface reflects this, showing the enemy intent passing through them.)
