Events, marked on the map as "unknown energy signatures," contain story-based, optional choices as you progress through the loop. With few exceptions, events have positive outcomes for the player and are, at worst, skippable. There are 23 total Events in the Codex, but only 22 are unique, since one event has two variations that are counted separately in the Codex.

Some events are locked to a particular Zone, while others have prerequisites, such as missing a certain percentage of Hull.

Each event can only trigger once per loop, so you won't come across the same event multiple times.

  • Fake Distress Signal has a special variation if you encounter it with Drake in your crew. This variation counts as a separate event in the Codex.
