Offering from Another Timeline

Offering from Another Timeline is an event during which a mysterious entity offers aid from an alternate timeline, potentially gifting you with a card from a not-present crew member.

This event can appear in Zone 2 or Zone 3, but only if Isaac is unlocked.

Options

The 3 decks you can choose from are picked randomly, from characters that aren't in your crew. Note that if you have less than 6 characters unlocked in total, then only one or two options will be present.

Strategy

If selecting aid from another crew member, choosing a card isn't mandatory, so you can go ahead and look at your options and consider if getting an out of deck card would help.

Prism can benefit for this as the more varied the deck, the more its damage potential!
