The GLX Bruiser is a smaller ship whose attacks often apply Engine Stall to pin you in place for follow-up standard and missile attacks.
Strategy
Attacks
The Bruiser will always attack in the order listed below, repeating once it completes each action.
Image | Details |
---|---|
Launch missile from left wing, attack 1 (applies Engine Stall) from missile bay, attack 2 from left wing | |
Launch big missile from left wing, attack 1 from missile bay, attack 3 (applies Engine Stall) from left wing | |
Launch seeker from left wing, attack 2x2 (applies Engine Stall) from right wing |
Evasion
Tips and Tricks
Avoiding the Bruiser’s Engine Stall is important, but enough evade can overcome it– Engine Stall ticks down when evading, unlike the more-powerful Engine Lock.
Since the Bruiser’s third action launches a Seeker, it’s often best to anticipate this and position yourself accordingly in order to shoot it down.
