Clarification

All Basic cards, including Basic Shot, Basic Block, etc. are considered CAT cards. This is quite important for the purposes of this card.

Strategy

Temporal Anomaly attacks for a large amount of damage, but you pay for this by losing CAT, making your next CAT card do nothing. So if that card is a Basic Shot, you end up subtracting 1 damage from this shot (assuming your initial shot doesn't kill the enemy). The key to making this card work is that instead of removing your basics with CAT, you should upgrade your Basics to their A versions, so that they cost 0 Energy. These upgrades allow you to easily play your basics to get CAT back easily so that you can use her again as needed.

Its A version adds 2 damage, which is nice value for an upgrade if you can use this card a lot.

Its B version seems absurd on its face - it gains a draw 3 effect but doubles the debuff, in addition to getting the +2 damage boost. This card costs 2, after all; shouldn't drawing 3 cards not work with that? But in a deck that's full of 0 cost CAT cards, this draw 3 effect can often give you 2 cards to quickly play to immediately cancel out this cards' debuff, making it a drawback-free haymaker that should make quick work of just about any foe. (And in a high-Energy economy, draw 3 is just very useful in general.)
