Next Gen Insulation is an artifact that causes you to overheat at 4 Heat instead of 3.
Strategy
This artifact increases your Heat allowance, letting you play more Heat cards before paying a penalty, while also giving you more flexibility with Heat-removal cards, making Heat a much more manageable downside. Notably, this allows you to play 3-Heat cards like Hot Compress and Desperate Measures without immediately overheating.
It also makes cards/artifacts that have benefits that scale with Heat, such as Combustion Engine, Flash Point, and Ignition Coil, more feasible to use for reliable benefit - occasionally you may be able to have a build that gets to 3 Heat and stays there to maximize these.
